Yes, I believe very little is coincidence. Certain things have to happen for certain things to happen later and so on. Not only does every experience serve as a life lesson, but it serves as a stepping stone to the future. I have been a drug addict and alcoholic, but I learned important lessons that hopefully I will be able to pass on to my kids. Also, if I hadn't gone through that I wouldn't have met certain people that introduced me to the person I had my children with. I have been in other relationships and a marriage previously, and never could have a child until I met this certain person, and then there were 3, one after another. We are not together now, and I believe that we were met to bring these certain children into the world, and that I am still waiting to meet the one I will grow old with , who will serve a different purpose in my life. It all intertwines, one thing leads to another....it's amazing !
I don't believe in any outside influence, like Karma, but i do believe in Kismet. We make our choices in life that take us down our own road to our Destiny, it's just a matter of thinking things out before making a decision.
Almost everything, but not everything. Unconditional Love (and its manifold aspects, like Forgiveness), where present, supersedes and renders inoperable the otherwise ubiquitous reign of the law of cause-and-effect, like a magnet overcomes gravity.
(Other than that, yes, we attract back that which we put out into the world; that is to say, things 'are the way they are because they were the way they were' in the past.)
