What's radio?
Undecided
You!

It seems to me not; most just appear to either download their music or subscribe to radio service like Pandora.

It's seems like every time I turn the radio on it's the same 5 songs playing. I have a large collection of cds, hundreds of songs on my phone, use last.fm on my computer.

Primarily classical music and other special program on NPR and other public stations; occasionally the local Christian station, but that's about it anymore.

I like the fact that not every single song that plays will be one I even necessarily like at all. It makes the ones I do like that much better. The radio also provides me with a much greater variety than any playlist could. And it's free. You really just have to find the right station. My favorites are Philly's 93.3 WMMR and 95.1 WZZO which runs out of Bethlehem, I think.

You got better radio stations than I do. We used to have a more varied selection, but not now.

Still, we lost my one of my favorites, 94.1 WYSP Philly which was a 40-year-old station here, end of last year. Now it's sports radio, which basically plays the same games that an AM station here plays (albeit a little clearer). I have noticed that radio talk stations are on the rise...

I agree; they are. Maybe the station owners think talk radio is more profitable?

I guess so. WYSP even had native Philadelphian Danny Bonaduce of "Partridge Family" fame (among other things) do the morning show, which was funny as hell. But in the end, I guess it just wasn't enough. *sigh*
