Does anyone know how to use Adobe Illustrator?

DJL 2011/04/30 09:55:49

There was a Washington Times Radio story that says if you open the Obama birth certificate PDF in Adobe Illustrator that you can see different layers of the document showing the certificate used to fake Obama's.

I don't use Illustrator, I use Corel Draw. But I do this sort of thing daily...well not forgeries but graphics so when I saw the document I wasn't surprised it was fake. Looked too new. No aging, tool marks, smudges...nothing to suggest it was half a century old. Pretty dumb to put the original (digital) document out the with all the tags, layers and selections sets any graphic program can detect. Should have turned it into a jpeg first. Or spilled some tea on it at least...really, really dumb.

What a load of hooey. I want you to take your own birth certificate and scan it into your computer. Convert it into a PDF. Then use illustrator to open the file. You will get the same thing. Adobe PDF separates text into a separate layer for clarity. It does not do it on command, it's automatic.

The dog and pony show convinced me the BC was a fake. It also revealed Obama is not a natural born citizen

No, not clever enough to use any of the neat things these computers can do. But if what they're saying is true, and knowing how many zillions of computer experts there are out there, why in the world would the man even consider using a forgery? Good grief, that's fodder for the naysayers for sure. Science is too far advanced for dumb criminals anymore.

No but of course it is fake. It says so right on it. it says it can be a abstract of whatever is on file. so a note from his grandmother announcing his birth for newspapers. Could have been turned into this document on april 25, 2011 when it was created. A real BC is a photocopy of the orginal document and has the seal of the state impressed on it. Like yours.

I don't use it but friends who do say it is very possible it's a forgery.

I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop daily as I'm a Graphic Artist. I haven't seen the PDF but I have no doubt that if it is a fake it can be proven with any good photo editing software. Being an artist, we always work with several layers instead of one to prevent mistakes and sometimes to give different effects to different sections or add elements in different places.

Such an obvious fake, all attention focused on the BC. The question is what is happening behind the scenes while we are focused here?

The fakery is so obvious that it has to be an attempt to keep this issue alive. It must be serving as some sort of distraction keeping us birther's actively engaged in something that he is sure will be fruitless. I am not convinced that he is born legitimately but I am convinced that in two plus years he could have done a near perfect job of faking a BC - heck I could have. He just needed a number that was close to the right sequence, and unused, or belonging to a person deceased. He must have the "good forgery" stashed somewhere else. This is an armature's fake and that is a concern.
All you experts - when something is scanned into a pdf document and made searchable - would that cause the layers? The background on that thing is so obvious compared to the BCs released by the twins.

I am a novice, but I do not think it would cause the kind of layering they are talking about.

I use another software and I can make layered documents. It is not difficult at all. Just follow the buttons in the software.

I use it, when you scan a document with both text and graphics (handwritten signatures are recognised as a graphics) with an OCR software like ABBYY FineReader and most others, it structures the Adobe PDF document into multiple layers containing the different elements. e.g. tables, logos, signatures, borders, and text. Depending on the complexity of the document I've seen more than 12 layers needed to reconstruct a scanned image into a PDF document.

Sorry but scanners especially OCRs don't act that way. If the document were in a bound format like the image suggests then an OCR wouldn't work properly anyway. The file would be created in a 'Rich' format and quite literally photographed the image as is. The background would not be added automatically either.
    It's still a fake...question is why bother?

This is more than amateur time. Obama did this deliberately, just to get our goat, while he's busy destroying the country. Nothing and no one is going to call him to account for his fraud, until the next election. And we will win the election on his wrongheaded policies, favoritism, and Cloward-Piven agenda, not on this.

Artist - that is what I would have done after creating the fake. I sure he has people much more adept in forgery than I am. Adding that fake safety background was too much of a giveaway.

That was the first thing I thought of. I am about the same age and have the same copy I have always had and it looks a hundred years old. If it is an original or even a recent copy of an original it wouldn't look that new.

I'm slightly older and I got a copy from my hospital as a replacement and it looked like hell!
No way is that the original!

Fun
