Does a Chocolate Chip Grilled Cheese Sandwich Sound Delicious or Disgusting?

No, we're not making this up. Yes, chocolate chip grilled cheese sandwiches are a real thing. A baking experiment from The Cupcake Project found that chocolate chips and cheddar cheese actually go kind of good together... if you bake the cheese lightly into the cookies, that is. I'm still a little disturbed to try the recipe out, but wanted to share for some insight. How do you feel about it?

I have, but don't usually. There are people, though, who like to sprinkle grated cheddar on theirs, so it's not that unusual. It's the same principle behind sprinkling cheese on pear halves.

I like them slightly warmed such that the cheese 'bonds' better to the PB, but heat to taste. I've yet to try it with mayonnaise, so I can't offer much commentary on that combination.

No, adding the mayo would have did me in! In my mind the warm seemed better for some reason... I can't say when, but soon...and I don't make promises but I give you my word I'll try this. ;-)
