Does a Chocolate Chip Grilled Cheese Sandwich Sound Delicious or Disgusting?

No, we're not making this up. Yes, chocolate chip grilled cheese sandwiches are a real thing. A baking experiment from The Cupcake Project found that chocolate chips and cheddar cheese actually go kind of good together... if you bake the cheese lightly into the cookies, that is. I'm still a little disturbed to try the recipe out, but wanted to share for some insight. How do you feel about it?

NEATORAMA.COM reports:
Like sardines and peanut butter, chocolate and cheddar cheese are two flavors that just belong together. Stef of The Cupcake Project stumbled upon this truth in her laboratory and shared it with the world. She's also developed an advanced version that involves frying the concoction on a griddle.

Also I thnk American tastes in general tend to run towards more bland compared to far Eastern cultures which often have a lot more spice and textural varations/

Chocolate and cheese do go together. But I am not sure about a chocolate chip biscuit. Something with more chocolate may be better - perhaps an Afghan biscuit?

Why no undecided?? I haven't tried one yet. Although it doesn't seem appealing, I am willing to try most things before marking them off my list. Sweet and salty often complement each other.

You've got a point there. Hmmm... like salty Bacon and maple syrup. Why not? So many people love to watch Andrew Zimerman eat spiders in Cambodia... Then again, no thanks. So many other things to eat.

You never know how good something might be until you've tried it. (I do make an exception where spiders and those rats on a stick I saw Zimmer eat are concerned.)

My first such experience was raw oysters. I was convinced to try them lightly steamed, and found that the flavor was wonderful. Then I tried a raw oyster, and discovered the flavor is even better! With cocktail sauce and a saltine cracker, the texture isn't noticeable. I prefer oysters raw to an overcooked fried oyster, anyday. Most restaurants serve shellfish overcooked because they are afraid of somebody suing them, and it just ruins it. I had a similar experience with stewed okra. With the right seasonings and cooking time, the sliminess disappears.

Thank you. I have stayed away from oysters because of the slimy texture, 'look'. I'm 40, maybe its time to give em a try ;)
