I've heard that prisoners would wear their pants that way to advertise they were available. At least that's what I've heard. Me, I think it looks nasty and it's just plain silly to wear your pants around your knee caps. But do what you like. I know the police really like it when folks wear their pants like that as it makes them very easy to catch!reply

I understand this all got started in prison, where they take away your belts and give you ill-fitting jeans to wear. Therefore, it's a way of telling people what a tough guy you are, because you've been to prison, and/or don't care how people think you look. But i wonder -- if this is a bad boy/thug type statement, how does someone wearing pants like that run from the cops?reply
