- Dave The Canuck 2012/06/20 00:16:24YES!!But I don't think the bacteria on the floor is all that harmful in your body. I've eaten food I've dropped on the floor numerous times and haven't gotten sick. As for the validity of the rule, I don't think it makes any difference whether the food has been on the floor for five seconds or five hours. The bacteria is on it right away.reply

+1As long as the floor is clean, etc. I don't think much harm can be done.reply - ZlikaJay 2011/04/20 19:45:03 (edited)sometimes+1If its something I absolutely love-(that does not include anything sticky gooey, or in liquid form) please, I don't care if its been on the floor 15 seconds. Then again i'm not crazy- ifs dropped in crap, dirt, or dust, forget it, i mean come on, don't be gross. Other wise if the floor is fairly clean, then yes. Most times in public absolutely not, who knows what things been there before I was. I'm also a pretty clean person so anything that drops on my turf, I'd pick it up and pop it right back in as if it never happened. Otherwise i leave it, and contribute to the little critters' winter food.reply
