we have a lot of words that are rarely heard of outside Liverpool,, eg.. ''Its proper owlarse that me trabs are tight and me kecks are antwacky..even bag 'eds in jiggers take da piss!'' means ''it is unfair that my sports shoes are tight and my trousers are so old fashioned that even heroin addicts standing in back alleys laugh at me!'' lol.

When we were in Vegas I was talking to a bloke who was driving us to our hotel (not a real taxi-driver) and we were in a Pontiac. I just asked him, "Does it get along alright?" but he didn't answer. I suppose he may have thought we needed to get a wriggle on...

I remember in high school, some people -- I guess they were speaking the 80's version of jive (ebonics?) -- I could not understand anything they said. I'd just repeat "I'm sorry I don't understand," and they were unable to communicate in any standard form, to the frustration of us both.

I don't use a lot of slang, but I do tend to utilize terms I grew up with that are indigenous to Texas or the south, like "y'all" and "over yonder". I remember the first time a new friend from the east asked me if I had a "rubber" - I thought "WHAT?!" She was asking if I had an eraser.

I live in Norfolk in England and I'm a country girl I have a awful accent and have the 'lazy' Norfolk slang. It's terrible, my bf told me I have to learn to talk properly or he wont let me teach out daughter to talk lol
