Electro magnetism at that time will render candles useless. The 'darkness' is because no one can 'see' at that time.

Major fire hazard, especially for those drinking or using drugs(both legal & illegal). I have a couple of indoor oil lanterns in case of power outage and of course a flashlight to find them.

Not as many as I should, I guess. Scented candles are mood-enhancing. Pine is nice and clean.

A lot? No. Some? Yes. I like aroma candles but they are too dangerous to keep lit with three young children in the house and two pets.

I use Sandalwood, Patchouli, Apple Cinnamon, or Pumpkin Spice. It always smells so nice when I walk into my home - warm and inviting.

The light fixtures I have are crap. Also candles makes great ambient lighting for reading/sexytime.

Mine are expensive by American standards though.
