The Affordable Care Act could of and should of been done better. It is far from what I would call a good program. However, what the republicans are offering is the real scam. They lied about what was in it such as death panel a blatant lie. Another lie is that they want to do away with it and then replace it with their own health care. If they were sincere about it they would just replace it but the scam is that they are saying they want to do away with it first and then work on a new one. The reality is if they succeed in repealing they will never pass any health care to replace it. That is the republican scam.

Back when Health Care was debated 70% of Americans wanted Single Payer but the GOP was against that. It would seem to me that it was the GOP that told the people to go to hell, well, just die. I don't think they cared which place you went after that.

In mandates, they are constitutional in some ways. Car insurance for example. Do you want to get into an accident only to find out that the person who slammed into your car has not insurance and no money to pay for the damages? If someone is rushed to an emergency room be kept waiting until they can confirm they have insurance or treat them right away? Either you pay for it with higher taxes and offer deductions for those with insurance or charge an extra tax for those without insurance. There is not perfect solution but he system we had before the Affordable Care Act was HORRIBLE. People died because because of Insurance greed.
