Mz Understood 2012/05/04 13:07:34Good+5Young children need proper rest, especially during the school year. Both my kids started off with an early bedtime and every year I extend it a little bit. My son is 10 and he's in the house by 8, has a snack, hits the shower, brushes his teeth, and off to bed by 9. Less headaches for me trying to get him up at 6:30 to get ready for school. During the summer I give more leeway, though.

when i was at boarding school, the year 11s (15/16yr olds) had to be in bed by 10pm. it's no hardship, just what is necessary to keep up with the schedule.
my kids are in bed at 7 and 7.30, aged 3 and 5 respectively. i see nothing wrong with that.
In my head I'd say "ta loco, brain needs rest" could''t say it out loud because if a 7:30 bedtime is normal then punishment would have to be worse.
make..................healty and WISE.............so goes the saying
however - having enough sleep to rebuilt energies 4 the next day - might as well teach the kids - to behave better later on with mental energie rescources - -be it in state of grown up life, they will have to lead - learning and working. But there ought allway be an exeception of the rule - that depents on the kids individual self and its age.
