- FencerCat 2012/06/09 21:40:30Yes...some fathers are made to feel like outsiders.I think probably they are because public opinion on that still hasn't changed, although it's really no one's business. Just like women are now judged for being stay at home moms, something they were expected to be when I was growing up.reply
- Vijay Pawar 2012/06/09 19:13:27NoNo one has the time to look into all these petty things, if things work for the couple, peoples say, nullified.reply

- kitkat42 2012/06/09 18:55:23Yes...some fathers are made to feel like outsiders.I don't know why though, sometimes this is the way it has to be for a family. Sometimes the father needs to be the stay at home dad. I admire the one's who do it well.reply
- Veritas 2012/06/09 17:14:23NoNot by me. I think it's a really great thing. I can see that I am the only one (so far) that feels this way though.reply
- kfallslady 2012/06/09 16:14:37NoI don't think so, but maybe I'm wrongreply
- pdarkow 2012/06/09 16:10:32Yes...some fathers are made to feel like outsiders.Society judges everybody but a father who stays home with his kids is judged even more harshly. Society looks at them as freeloaders who have their woman work and do nothing but sit around at home watch the kids and be lazy.reply

+1I agreereply - TasselLady 2012/06/09 14:17:23Yes...some fathers are made to feel like outsiders.+1Sometimes. But I know a girl I work with who had a boyfriend and three kids. When SHE found a job he QUIT his stayed home with the kids. Granted the kids are little, but still. He would rather force her to work outside the home and do everything else when she gets home. Never would I stand for that. From what I hear he doesn't treat her good either.reply

Wow..I can understand a father having to switch roles, because he was laid-off. But to Quit his job on purpose...hmmreply - TasselLady Woman o... 2012/06/09 14:34:41
+1I'd be ditching that A-hole. But then she's not the brightest bulb on the tree either. It doesn't take brains to spread your legs and have kids. Now she's stuck.reply -
+1Gosh, I hope he does all the chores that come with staying a home...reply - TasselLady Woman o... 2012/06/10 13:33:16
Me too. There is no way I would be with a guy who didn't. But she's trapped in a way because she doesn't drive. He's her only way to work and back. It's just a mess all the way around. I thank God that I'm self reliant and can drive myself everywhere. I wouldn't get anywhere if I didn't.reply
