Yes...some fathers are made to feel like outsiders.

I think probably they are because public opinion on that still hasn't changed, although it's really no one's business. Just like women are now judged for being stay at home moms, something they were expected to be when I was growing up.

No one has the time to look into all these petty things, if things work for the couple, peoples say, nullified.

Yes because judge them they choose to stay home and take care of kids and not work to provide like other men

I don't know why though, sometimes this is the way it has to be for a family. Sometimes the father needs to be the stay at home dad. I admire the one's who do it well.

Not by me. I think it's a really great thing. I can see that I am the only one (so far) that feels this way though.

Society judges everybody but a father who stays home with his kids is judged even more harshly. Society looks at them as freeloaders who have their woman work and do nothing but sit around at home watch the kids and be lazy.

I think it's neat when some fathers choose to stay home with their kids. I would hope no one judge them but I am sure some people do.

Yes in many cases and by ignorant people that do not know the circumstances or the situation. But that is because we have so many judgmental asses in the world

obviously because it goes against the norms that used to be present in our society. for most people it it unusual, and so they judge.

Sometimes. But I know a girl I work with who had a boyfriend and three kids. When SHE found a job he QUIT his stayed home with the kids. Granted the kids are little, but still. He would rather force her to work outside the home and do everything else when she gets home. Never would I stand for that. From what I hear he doesn't treat her good either.

Wow..I can understand a father having to switch roles, because he was laid-off. But to Quit his job on purpose...hmm

I'd be ditching that A-hole. But then she's not the brightest bulb on the tree either. It doesn't take brains to spread your legs and have kids. Now she's stuck.

Me too. There is no way I would be with a guy who didn't. But she's trapped in a way because she doesn't drive. He's her only way to work and back. It's just a mess all the way around. I thank God that I'm self reliant and can drive myself everywhere. I wouldn't get anywhere if I didn't.
