I sure hope so, since I am one of the 53% who PAY taxes.

I am disgusted by it all. Everyone benefits from the government infrastructure, yet 47% contribute nothing to it. These 47% because of their incomes are eligible to many freebees (such as free college ect) that the 53% are not entitled to. So the 53% pay for others to benefit while they sacrifice even more for their families. Everyone should pay something no matter how nominal a fee it might be. It certainly would give them more of an appreciation of how we feel when they threaten to raise the taxes.

They're too busy being on vacation & they could care less about your paycheck. My state just did a huge gouge job on the paychecks by overtaxing the state tax retro active. Most people here are now in debt an extra $500-$1000 ...so those tax cuts arent doing any thing for them ... Many are now not able to put gifts under the tree for their kids or pay their bill now...CT reports that their year end is looking great ! Merry Chrsitmas from the state of Ct... !!

Of course, I cheated. It is in the news. The Republicans had to hold their nose for this S**t sandwich served by the dimocrats, but it is better than cycling the entire private sector's payrole accounting system. Of course, the Dims needed to take the tax cut out of Social Security, because most of their supporters don't pay federal income tax. Ironic that they are crowing about cutting the SS contributions to show how much they care. This is BS of course, they had to do something that their supporters would notice. 49% of the wage earners don't pay income tax, so a real tax cut would be felt only by the "rich," and we all know how wrong that would be....

The House "Tea Partiers" have shown that they have the power to disrupt and to obstruct, but they don't have the common sense to govern. This is not really a victory for anyone, but the President saves face.

Well, I suppose we'll see. The vote is today 12/23/2011. If just one Tea Party member objects to the unanimous consent vote then every single member of the House will have to come back to Washington at a cost of some $5 million dollars to the taxpayers for that one vote.

We'll see, but I seriously doubt that Boehner has that completely wrapped up. And Cantor is looking to take the Speakership away from Boehner so this would be a perfect time to kill two birds with one stone. Kill the tax bill and Kill Boehners chances of retaining his Speakers seat.

Oh I just remembered, if the Tea Party does stop this, then they will kill the Republican party as well, because the taxpayers/voters will NOT forget because they will be reminded every single day of the failure of the obstructionistic actions of the Republican Party all year long.

What has been killing this all along was Reid. The progressives don't want a year agreement because it would go past the election date. They stirred up enough trouble trying to make the conservatives look bad but it backfired on them. What is happening now is what Boehner wanted to happen all along. A one year deal, not a two month deal, if you can't figure out what the dems are doing here you are blind

. If they can just get a 2 month deal they can plague this action until they can make Obama look like a hero and the conservatives look like a zero and keep up this rhetoric until the election, this is their political ploy.

Further more, small business cannot react to changes every other month and exist, they have to have a concrete plan or they will not invest nor will they hire. The dems have changed rules nearly at a daily rate to the point no business will invest in it's future until it see's a plan that it can follow. This is simple business 101. Something none of this present administration has any experience in. Only 8% of Obama's administration has ever had business experience, the lowest of any administration. Money doesn't grow on trees like so many of the progressive seem to think.

You make the statements and provide no links or proofs or timelines to support your statements. You're statements are no better than those of Faux Newz commentators without absolute proofs.

That is why I used as single word to discribe your comments, and they remain BULL since all you had in return was an ad hominem attack back.

There is no reason to provide links to a person that just admitted that no matter what news link it was would not be good enough. See the problem with you progressives commiecrats is there is no proof you are willing to listen to. You guys always want proof while providing none for your own arguments. The reason being is you are wrong, you know you are wrong and you will always be on the wrong side. Right is correct, left is wrong. See ya, don't want to be ya.

After all .. it is all about the pose .. and what looks /good/ to spin in their advert agency (known as the msm) ..
and NOT .. repeat .. NOT about what is best for CITIZENS of the USA.

Without it, they're lost. Obama has outsmarted them.

It's either that, or the GOP loses the vote of every working person in the country.
