This is one of the most hottest topics on here. Telling a woman what she can and can't do with her body is not up to ANYONE to say! If people want to reduce abortions the main key to this is EDUCATION and choices that need to be aware of so they can make the proper one.

Those who parade at clinics with pictures of aborted fetuses and shout at the women have NO respect for them and have understanding of their situations. It is traumatizing enough that they are going to the clinic to discuss this there is no reason to compound it.

And last if we end up repealing it look for more abortions and killings of innocent women by hack doctors looking to make a fast buck. Then ask me if we did the right thing.

Just out of curiosity and not to pick a fight. What if the women was a victim or rape?? What if the women could die from the pregnancy?? I doubt any women would like to carry a child of rape full term. Also, they are not exactly babies yet.

You are correct....courts and doctors have argued and finally said that it is not a human till after the first trimester. So hence it is still called a fetus which is not a human. The argument for murder is invalid at this point.

Yes, an exception could be justified in extreme and unusual cases where there was a serious physical threat to the life of the mother. But note...more than 90% of abortions are NOT because of rape or physical threat to the mothers life. And ANY exception is abused by those wanting to kill off their unwanted baby. A law restricting abortion to that small minority of rape and health condition cases would be a great improvement on what we have now...but would never be acceptable to those who demand the right to kill their babies for convenience.

I cannot disagree with using abortion as a contraceptive. But wealthy people can get the gender of a child and decide they want a boy as they already have 4 girls..and desire to have a "procedure" done to end the pregnancy. This is even more vile than "buyers remorse".

My mother had a friend who was a nurse at a hospital and she had to nurse the women who passed out trying to do back ally abortions. She said that you can tell if a women tried to have a back ally abortion because the child always had a scar on it's head.

It used to be it was the easy way for birth control and cheap but with new ways to prevent it and easier access we are seeing fewer abortions. Will we ever see zero? No, I feel that we can reduce the numbers but will never be totally stopped.

-Agreed, education has served Americans well. Note however that the rates in Europe are in the rise.

-We will probably never be 100% rid of abortion, but if we change the numbers from 10% of women to 2% of women, I believe that we have made significant progress.
