yes and no. i mean i think it would be nice knowing what the person you're talking to looks like but then again how would you know whether it's real or not. but i also like pictures that people have that express themselves and what they're into. so i guess my answer should've be no.........:)

I would rather have a conversation with someone based on how interesting they are, not how they look. A face is just a mask that hides the true person behind it.

Besides, if everyone where required to add a photo, who is going to drive around to everyone's home and check that the photograph is of them and not the face of another person.

No, a photograph does not guarantee who you're communicating with.

Too many personal rights would have to be waived for SH to "verify" beyond doubt that the image represented is lawfully you. Although My most recent Nevada DMV photo is awesome in my opinion and exceeds my standard of approval compared to prior DMV generated "mug shots"....

You want a picture of me...ask. If I want you to have it... I'll send it.

It doesn't really matter because if you were required to use a photograph there would be no way of knowing if you were using a photo of yourself or someone else. Not only that but some people use a photo that's not even a real person.or even a person at all. It's not a dating site.
