I think it really depends on what THEIR term of "date" means - for example my daughter wanted to "date" a boy in 7th grade (13) and my question to her was - what do you do when you "date" someone - her answer - sit with them at lunch and on the bus...maybe call or text a couple of times...lol

but its none of business if someone a lil older is dating a 13 year old. like i guess its not a good isea beacuas they are young, but if that person knows the responsabilites of dating the 13 year old then doesn't matter to me

I was six years old when I had my first boyfriend. We always played Fairy King and Queen on the jungle gyms, held hands when nobody was looking and shared one brief, wet, awkward kiss under the table in Wimpy... for a week after we were too shy to look each other in the eye :P
I was fourteen when I had my first proper french kiss, fifteen when I had my first real relationship, and while I'm sure as hell not innocent now, I was pretty innocent back then. I don't think thirteen is too young to date, but it's just that people connotate dating with sex - and while twelve-year old girls are getting pregnant in today's society, I'm sure it'll be fine for 13yr olds to date if they're raised properly.

13 and under is really too young and also too naive to start dating cause youngster don't even know how to carry a relationship responsibly yet.

I think 16 and up is the good aging rate to start dating cause later on they'll learn how to be responsible, but first have to learn about true love, being a good partner, etc from an experienced parent or guardian or an older sibling, so yeah and also to know what they want and go after it, so yeah....I've started dating since 16 from Valentine's Day and it went great and I was responsible, so yeah....

When I have kids, one day I'll teach them before they turn 16 if they tell me they want to start dating people, especially one day if I have a daughter or two.
