I tan outside or in tanning booths but I do tan golden brown, sometimes a hint of pink over it if I get burned a bit.

Yeah tanning is dangerous.

my arms darken a little bit, but the rest of me is like, neon white. and i get more freckles on my face...... -_-

I used to tan all the time until I got pregnant with my daughter. I worked for a landscaping company AND used a tanning bed so I was an amazing color of bronze. Haven't tanned since I was preggo. My daughter is a year old now and with summer coming along and my body back to normal I'm thinking about getting a little color back....

Cool! Its a good thing you didn't tan while pregnant though.. I know some stupid people who would.

Yeah I was thinking for health concerns as well as preventing permenent stretch marks (I didn't get a single one!)

You could always use a fake tan!

I grew up in the days when we used baby oil and iodine to tan. I was the typical naturally bleached blond with golden brown skinned SoCal beach girl. Tanning beds became popular when I was in my 20s and you can bet I jumped in that easy step to the perfect golden tan. I used them on a regular basis for the following 12yrs. One of my best beach buddy friend from high school passed away at age 31 from malignant melanoma and I was diagnosed with malignant surface melanoma 9 yrs later. My oncologist blamed tanning beds for falsely claiming to be a safe way to tan. I was lucky and have been cancer free 10yrs now. Not only am I still here my skin looks better than ever for my age and people tell me I look 10 to 15 years younger than I actually am. So heed my words before you fake n bake and tan by spray can instead.

Wow.. awesome you could overcome your cancer.. I hope it stays away! I'm so scared for all of my friends who tan in beds everyday and don't seem to care about their skin..

I will! And I really can't believe they still do it because one of the most loved staff members at our middle school died of melanoma because of tanning and using a tanning bed!
