I support the men, and women who fight to protect us, who have given their lives, and who selflessly serve our country. I do not necessarily support those who join for an "easy pay check".

This statement reveals your naiveté. Serving in the military is a job and there is nothing wrong with viewing it as such. A combination of mindless idealism and excessive patriotism can be harmful. Also, you degrade military men and women by calling their job easy. Let's send you to Iraq and we'll see how easy it actually is.

My “easiest” day in the Military was twice as hard as the hardest day in my Civilian job, and I worked longer hours, and received 1/3rd the pay while in the Service.

PS: I see you like the TV show NCIS. I hope you do so just for comic relief. Having served six years as an Evidence Analyst for the Philadelphia Office between 1979-1986 (when the Agency was called NIS/NISCOM), I can truthfully tell you that it bears absolutely no resemblance to reality.

As for me, I'm filling in for one of my fellow Deputies with a young family. Most of my day will be spent on Highway and check point Duty.

A few of my father's uncles served the miltary in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. I'm grateful for their sacrifices, and that of many other soldiers.

I don't always support the mission, but I will always support the troops. They give themselves over to service of our country and get little in return for their sacrifice.
