I pay my bills on line, but send thank you letters and packages via the U.S. Post Office. In days of electronic thank you's, I like notes to be handwritten. If someone went through the trouble of making you dinner, etc., sending a thank you through the mail is nice.

Everything... We don't get mail delivery to our house. So we have a Post Office Box. I also buy my Money Orders there for mailing my house payment

Yes, I still use the post office. I dread if they go out of bussiness. I grab stamps there, send off a few packages, and still retain an old PO box there. OH! and every once in a while a money order, cert. mail. Cheaper then the bank. And when I go there they are crowded!! So I have no idea how they are going out of business.

I do have one suggestion. PARK the mail truck and walk a few routes. My mail lady goes from box to box in her truck. The one before her walked the route. He would walk two streets then move his truck. I am sure he saved them a mint in gas.

This reminds me...I went there the other day for a change in address and the guy at the desk was treating me like a child which was pretty offensive. I suppose he figured just because I still look 14 he must treat me like i'm 14.

And I would like to say that my town's post office is the best that I have ever been to. The staff is incredible.

Yep. I use it to send birthday cards and presents back home to my family. It's unbelievably pricey, though. Sending things from Bangkok to Indiana is NOT cheap, unfortunately. :(
