I'm glad I still have them. People were way to quick to cut out tonsils and appendix before they knew the function they served. Now it is better understood by some although there are still too many who don't know better.
Nope, they took them out at about age 6, along with adenoids. I can still "see" that mask that resembled a stainless flour sifter going over my nose and mouth. Funny the things you think about 60 years later, huh?
I was pretty sick a lot before the surgery ..
afterwards .. was a LOT healthier indeed
