I love Michael Jackson and there are days that I question myself why did he have to be snatched away as his melodies are so intricate and that would have been something I would have loved to have learned from him if not others. I just love the harmony.
There are other artists I listen to John Denver, Whitney Houston (some of them), Luther Vandross, the Carpenters, Elvis Presley etc. They are all the legends in their own rights.

Some people are opinionated when it comes to certain things about the artist when they are alive but when they die, they become the stars that never stop twinkling as everyone has a twinge of guilt that makes them want to listen to that voice again, with a coming to term realisation, they may never see them in person ever again.

Doesn't make a big difference to me... I enjoy the music I play, and songs and artists get added, and a few drop off. Music lives on, eh?

Not just when they die. If I like the artist, I'm involved with their work regardless.

If I liked them before, I'll keep them in the rotation. If I didn't, see ya and RIP. If I NEVER hear of MJ again, I would be ecstatic.

At least, I don't generally do so. I do remember going through some of John Denver's greatest hits when he died, but that's about it.

only if the artist had songs that I liked before hand. I didn't do it for Beastie Boys though because I never really was into them.

I hadn't listened to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album in years. One afternoon I queued it up and remembered why it was so good back then. Still good now (and my little girl loves dancing to it too).

I have no more or less interest in an artist alive or dead. The one exception is if someone I liked but had forgotten about died. The reminder might cause me to revisit their work.

I try to enjoy a piece of art for its beauty. If I enjoy the artist I try to revisit their works dead or not.

Somtimes. If it was a person I grew up listening to then I might pull out the album and reminisce in their honor. I would never go listen to someone that I didnt have much interest in before just because they died.

This is a very vague question! Everyone has different tastes and there are all manner of artists. Some you'll love, some you'll hate, and some you'll be totally indifferent about. You can't possibly say whether you'd revisit their work unless you knew who they were and what they did.
