    Yep i do.
and if you are in an elevator with tons of other people, push and hold the "close door" button while pressing the floor you want. It will take you directly to your floor, passing everyone elses choices, lol.

If the buttons aren't lighted I push it twice just so i'm not standing there wondering if I pressed it hard enough. I don't think it makes it faster no.

Yes of course it makes it faster. Also if someone before you has already pressed the call elevator button before you, if you then press it you don't have to wait as long as they do.

How does that happen..? What do you feel when you are in a confined space..? I only get that way when I cant bend my legs or reach my face because its too small. If I was stuck in a coffin-like space I would lose my strength after a while and freak.

I just get breathless & pass out, When I'm driving I have to have a window open even if it's only a little bit just to let some air in & I can't wear a seat belt, I have to be able to move or again, claustrophobia sets in

Saw a show about 'lifts' on Discovery Channel. The 'Close Door' button is a dummy placed there for psychological reasons. The door closes automatically.

Much like pushing the button repeatedly on a pedestrian crossing, it's programed.

I have pushed the elevator button and the street crossing button numerous times even though I know it won't speed anything up. Probably due to impatience.

Don't want to touch it once let alone twice. I will walk up the stairs if it isn't to many floors.

I know it works after one push and pushing it multiple times isn't going to make it move any faster.
