Do You Prefer Watching Comedies or Dramas?

It's a lot harder to do a genuinely good comedy than it is to do a good drama, and thus there are more good dramas to see.

There's nothing wrong with watching some television. I actually prefer movies though. Suspense, thrillers or drama and sometimes horror.I watch comedies when the mood strikes.

I like dramas because sometimes you find movies with characters that you may not get to interact with in real life. Sure life isn't like the movies but it opens you mind up to different kinds of possibilities.

I didn't like the movie Adam (2009) but it dealt with a person with Asperger's Syndrome and I thought that was interesting. The movie itself.. meh.

I recommend Old Boy, Let the Right One In, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Clockwatchers, Reservoir Dogs, Proof, The Magdalene Sisters, Muriel's Wedding and L'appartement to name a few.

For shows I used watch Law and Order SVU or Criminal Intent.

I hardly watch television.

never watch anything but comedies.

Drama is overrated and is unnecessary.

I appreciate a really good drama more than a really good comedy, but I would prefer a mediocre comedy to a mediocre drama.

I like to laugh.

After a stressful day at work, I just love to watch comedies for relaxation. Nothing like a good laugh to release some of the tensions.

Comedy makes me crazy. Dramas are just stupid. Swedish TV is completely reality, and sometimes I have to flip to the BBC to get comedy.

I usually prefer comedies, but a drama every once in a while is nice.

I actually prefer Dramodies. Serious shows with inside jokes and punch lines. Like Castle.

Actually, Both. Still like a lot of comedies which are becoming extinct. Two and Half Men, Seinfeld, Friends, All in the Family, Mash, etc. All classics.

I like a decent mixture of both. You need pathos is any good comedy. The Office, Alan Partridge, etc all rely on the hilarious lead character being morally, financially, and personally bankrupt. Their personalities are totally egregious, yet we love them, and deep down they are good people. The same the other way around, every good drama needs that comic relief. Twin Peaks was dark, sinister and macabre but we always had Lucy & Andy, and Coop to guide us through this bizzare and unsettling world with a comedic and warm hand. The primal urge for fear and happiness should be fulfilled, and it's always nice when a show comes along and does it perfectly.

I like sitcoms, but I do watch some dramas like Law & Order , Burn Notice, Covert Affairs and Royal Pains.

Depends on my mood, but mostly commedies... sometimes its nice to just sit back and laugh

Actually, if I watch a movie, I like Dramatic Comedy, or is it Comedic Drama... Oh well, I like Myth Busters, Sons of Guns, Military Channel, History Channel and the Pirate Channel!

I like interesting stories, especially ones based on true tales. I like hearing what people have been through and learning about other's lives. Comedies are usually kinda generic and boring, but there are some that are really hilarious that I love watching.

I like them both, but I prefer dramas. I like a "Who Done It" so I can see if who I think did it was the one. Then a good comedy is priceless to put me in a good mood.
