Depends on who's cooking. I can't stand it when my mom makes her sad excuse of a meatloaf and I'm pretty sure the rest of my family would agree.

I prefer really good food.

And I RESENT paying for food that I make better at home.

Thus my choices in restaurants is very, very limited.

I enjoy cooking and hosting friends at home including the informal intimacy and ambiance that offers, and i consider myself an ok gourmet cook. Equally I enjoy dining out and favor certain establishments for different reasons, entertainment etc. but the food service, quality and consistancy are important. I'm quite happy when I discover a new destination. I should add i'm very critical about hygene, iffy doesn't work for me when eating out.

some of our home-made things are better than what you can get "out", but some of the things we sometimes get "out" are better than we could do at home ...
