I drive substantial distances all week, so when at home or driving about for leisure, I much prefer my wife to drive.

I get the same response from my wife. I will tell her that I didnt say a thing. She tells me that my white knuckles are giving out a bit of tension.

NO I admit out loud I am a poor passenger. My SO drove me around for a month when I was looking to replace my car that died. I was able to take my time looking since I was paying cash and looking for a deal on a good used car. I think she had a private celebration when I was successful. She said unless I am going to the hospital she will never drive me again.

i feel safer knowing i'm in control.

the first time i was a passenger in my fiance's car he hit a guardrail on my side, and now when he drives i get stressed out.

It's probably a Type A Personality thing... no control freak, but enjoy being behind the wheel (and be in charge of the radio dial).
