There are literally millions of people (both young and old) who are beaten, raped, tortured, starved, suffering and murdered every day. People who are innocent and who do believe and pray, yet they never get their answer. Why? I have concluded that God must either be non-existent or a malevolent sadist. Either way, I see no reason to pray.

"I, Jesus, have decided to love you. That decision is infinite. It is filled with all the ramifications of eternity. It is a decision that never wavers.I always follow through on My Love Decision even if it does not feel like it. My Love does not depend on feelings. It is there through emptiness, through fullness, in all the variations in between. I share My Love emotionally at times or when it is in your best interests I give My Love, but you may not be aware of it".

"I desire to have a deep loving personal relationship with each soul because I created you as an extension of My love. Once you are with Me in heaven, you will experience such a personal love for Me that you will even become one with Me. This life is a test of your faith in Me, and a place to work on perfecting your love for Me. Every time that you visit Me in Adoration or receive Me in Holy Communion, you have a small taste of heaven, and My deep personal love for you.”

“When I ask you to pray I simply ask you to confide in Me, in your own simple words. In your own way. In your private thoughts. I hear everything. I see all. I feel what you feel. I am with each of you standing beside you, just waiting for the day when you will finally surrender to My Call. You have nothing to fear from Me for My Love for you will overcome any darkness, which keeps you distant from Me”.

Yes, I do pray. And yes it does work. There have been so many time's that I have prayed and some many time's God has helped me that I cannot remember them all. One thing I have learned is there is NOTHING God cannot fix. I have also learned just how slowly and how fast God can answer a prayer. A few Year's ago my parent's had spilt up, and my mother had said to me, "I am going to be all alone." I cried when I heard her say that. So that night I asked God to send her a new Loving husbend. About a week later she met my step Father. (Who we both Love very much.) And they were married a year later and are going on their fourth anniversary. I have never seen my Mother so happy, So thank's again God. :)

Yes, it does work. Sometimes I don't get what I asked for and, often, I see later that things would have been worse for me if I had. We don't always realise the consequences of what we ask for, but God does.

"Praying is asking to an invisible force that the laws of the universe be annulled in behalf of a single petitioner confessedly unworthy..." - Ambrose Bierce

“If the gods listened to the prayers of men, all humankind would quickly perish since they constantly pray for many evils to befall one another” - Epicurus ..(Sooooo true...)

“And here's something else, another problem you might have: Suppose your prayers aren't answered. What do you say? "Well, it's God's will." "Thy Will Be Done." Fine, but if it's God's will, and He's going to do what He wants to anyway, why the f**k bother praying in the first place? Seems like a big waste of time to me! Couldn't you just skip the praying part and go right to His Will? It's all very confusing.”

I think and ponder about things.. Praying never gets anything done. It is jsut a device of comfort for oneself and can help clear ones mind. But praying will never get anything done. That's why it works for some and for others it doesn't.
Praying before meals is awesome because you show that you are thinking about other people and that you are thankful for what you have.
But honestly at some point you have to get off your ass and make a difference. So take your hands away from praying and start clothing, feeding, and helping others in need.

    Make a difference
