Considering what a raging girly-girl I am it is surprising even to myself that I don't do this. I simply prefer the natural look ... well-manicured and on the short side. Like this:

A clear polish, translucent pink, or a french manicure (on nails that are not long) is something I could get on board with, but I think long painted nails look disgusting, honestly. :/ I feel the same about heavy make-up. Subtle is nicest.

Even if I was a chick I doubt I'd do this. I feel no internal desire to try this and it's not just because I'm a guy. I don't follow conventional gender roles however I am straight.

Nails and toenails... toenails all the time, nails less often (but fairly regularly, through the summer). I normally go for a classic red, but I've been known to experiment with strange colours.

But it always turns in to a mess. Either I use the quick-drying ones and they start to chip by the next morning, or I use the good ones, but none of them dry quick, so I always end up bumping my nails into things while they're still drying! >:P
