A laptop is a computer.
What you're referring to is a desktop.
There are desktops, laptops, and tablets. Then there are Macs, but those aren't really computers.
You have either a desktop (the most power for your money), a laptop (the most convenience for your money), or a tablet (if you want extreme portability).

No, PC is the same thing is computer. PC just stands for personal computer, a laptop is also a PC. She meant desktop.

Got the HP Pavilion DV7 with the Beats sound system. I ey boardlove it and has a 17" screen.
Great Battery life love the key board and the only thing I wish it had was a blue ray DVD player. Like it to be lighter to but you can't have everything.

I'm happy with it and does a great job for me.
