But we are looking to add one by the end of the summer. My son's doctor recommended it for lowering his dependency for anxiety meds. A dog would be too much work, and the doctor wants him to be the main care giver for the animal, so a cat it is. Kitten, preferably.
My cat is very demanding, wanting as much attention as he can possibly get. If I were wealthy, I would consider getting him a full-time human companion.
I wouldn't exactly say that I owned my cat. I'd say that it was more like my cat owned me. Here's a joke. "What's the difference between a dog and a cat?" A dog looks at you, and thinks...This human loves me, and feeds me, and gives me a place to live, and pets me, and takes care of me in every way. They must be God? And a cat thinks....This human loves me, and feeds me, and gives me a place to live, and pets me, and takes care of me in every way....I must be God?
(I hope my cat is around that long.)
he helps take care of the orchids-
And he rules the house.
