Do You Make Spaghetti (or Hotdogs) With Beer?

Never heard of the process. But, I've made beer bread, and also beer batter for frying fish.

Hot dogs and Brats

Using Barley Pop in deep-frying batter's well know. Can see it used to impart a flavor to pasta (absorbs) but wasteful for weiners (grease diffuses out). Same could be said for wine (common) & strongly flavored spirits (whiskey e.g. but not triple-distilled vodka).

Anyways, the alcohol would likely evaporate away into thin air (make cold/cool desserts for 'effect' instead).

How would go about making hotdogs with beer? Maybe you mean do you take spaghetti or hotdogs with beer. In that case I take almost anything with beer.

Most of the time the beer doesn't make it to the cooking pot,so I just eat the hotdogs!

I love Spaghetti, Hotdogs, and Beer, but they just don't mix.

Boil bratwurst in beer, water and chopped onions, then grill to brown.

I use premium beers to marinate excellent Bratwurst. I've also used it to marinate ginger duck.

I only use beer when cooking charro beans

I boil neither one, but I will try to boil hotdogs. Sounds burpy good!

Steaming them in beer is the only way to do hot dogs.Never tried spaghetti in beer.

The 'technique' is simple enough. Just pour one or two cans of beer (I've found the cheaper the better) in with your water and bring water/pasta to a boil, and boil till done preferably with the lid on your pot. Add the usual teaspoon-full of margarine or butter (or a dollop of olive oil) to keep the pasta from sticking. Some people like the smell of the alcohol boiling off, and some people don't, but don't judge the end product by the smell of preparation (like my wife :-)). Same rule applies here as does corned beef brisket and cabbage.

If you don't use both cans (say, on account of space considerations), just put the remainder in your sauce (with or without hamburger to taste).
