Pie by itself is a bit strong do me. The ice cream seems to mellow it out a bit. It is a delicious combination

if you're referring to apple pie of course.... a la mode. but cream pies must have REAL cream on them, not cool whip.
lemon meringue with only the meringue topping. Other fruit pies, like triple berry or cherry, yep, a la mode..
