I don't happen to care for it. There are nicer sounding accents out there that sound a lot more gentle and soothing. New York accent is pretty rough.

In the past, I've worked with a lot of guys from NY and Jersey, and they were my favorites to work with. I just like the accents.

I am glad that I can speak. Only problem I have is with recordings, makes my voice sound terrible. Good thing I am not fond of singing into a mircophone.

i loooove the way my voice sounds IN MY HEAD, however, people hear our voices differently than we do and im not fond of the way it sounds outside of my head, if that makes sense..?

Although I admit I didn't care for it when I was younger. I don't have a high pitched feminine voice, always thought I sounded like a guy. I didn't start liking it until probably my late to mid 20s.

When I'm talking normally out-loud or in my mind(live-action? lol), I'm ok with it. When I hear it on recording, not so much. It just sounds awful on a recording ._.

The reason why your own voice sounds different to others than you is because part of the sound is being transmitted via your bones to your ears as well as through the air (as others hear it) from your voice box.
