    I can relate more to the music of my "generation" what I grew up to, partied with, travelled listening to and things I experienced.

    I can still listen to new music, dance and have fun to it but not relate to it in the same way most of the current generation can.

    Some of the new stuff to me, if I'm honest sounds bland or a poor attempt at a "re-hash" of an era.

    Pop died in the mid 90's. Most music died in or after the 90's actually. Damn 90's.

    I don't appreciate any of my daughters music but then again I don't think my mum liked
    Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, Aha oh and I know she certainly wasn't happy when I was singing Frankie goes to Hollywood on a coach at full blast.

    Unfortunately it's playing in restaurants and other public places, so it's impossible to avoid. I don't ever intentionally listen to any, though. I've heard a little that sounds catchy, but not enough to make me want more.

    Yeah, I like Muse a lot. I also like Sloan, Fountains Of Wayne, Wilco, Band Of Horses, Mike Viola, just to name a few from "today". Can't stand the whole One Direction, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift crap. My son is two and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that he knows good music. He'll be the only kid in first grade rocking out to Iggy Pop and The Stooges.

    I've never been a fan of pop music, no matter what era. There have been a few exceptions, but that is because the music I liked was different from anything else I had heard to that point.
