Do you like stand up comedy?

Though it's hard for me to find stand up comedians that I really like, I'm always really happy when I do. A couple of my faves are Mitch Hedberg (saw him shortly before he passed away) and Jim Gaffigan.
Seems most stand up now is pretty cheap humor. Some sex jokes are clever and funny, but when an entire act is vulgar and dirty I just don't think it takes much talent to come up with. I love dry, sarcastic and witty stand up but don't seem to come across it very often. One of the only foul mouthed comedians I don't mind watching is George Carlin, because his comedy is also witty and intelligent (even though I don't always agree with him).

It's way better than Sit Coms at least.

Love his stand up! I feel lucky to have had a chance to see him perform in person, shortly before he passed. It's such a shame that he died so young.

I have only seen him on t.v. but i would have loved to see him live.

Sad thing was that he was so wasted he kept forgetting which jokes he had told. He still managed to pull it off and crack everyone up, but it was clear that he was in a bad place in his life so it was really a bittersweet performance and a bittersweet memory. I could tell he wasn't a happy person at the time, but it was clear that making people laugh brought him some joy.

I can't agree with you more, but on that same note i still loved him i wish his life wouldn't have ended so soon.
