I have too and it was always a matter of taste. But I learned long ago about the plastic can liner material, just didn't learn what was in it till a lot later.

Either is a garbage nightmare. Recycle. Don't recycle. Cans and bottles litter the highways and beaches and parks of this great country because people are just too damn lazy to take care of their trash. I personally like the convience of being able to reseal a plastic bottle.

Personally i think the can gives the soda a crisper flavor. The only bottle I prefer is a glass bottle. =)

Drinking directly from a can cause infections. Bottle is Safier. Plus a bottle can re-used, but a can not.

You can't reseal a can and it's gone in a second, insects get in, can soda is not good.

Glass bottle. Clear plastic contains antimony, a heavy metal, and both plastic bottles and metal cans contain BPA which is an estrogen mimicker. I'll go one further and say I try to avoid regular soda made with glucose fructose (corn syrup) because it contains mercury which is a neurotoxin. Diet soda is poison. The only brand of soda I drink regularly is Jones because it comes in glass and is made with good old sugar.
