I agree. It has lost a little bit of it's edge when you compare newer horror films to the classic ones of yesteryear. I enjoy the fright! But the whole slasher/serial killer fliks don't really do it for me. I like a good ghost/demon flick.
I like scary movies, not gory movies. Slasher films aren't scary. Good scary movies get inside your mind and make you afraid of things that go "bump" in the night.
