Anything peppermint (canes) this time of year, even though I am Jewish, are GREAT! Just not peppermint flavored piggie parts. I've heard of that, but pig parts are to Jews as sh** is to the human race... NOT FOOD!

I'm not totally averse to peppermint; I like peppermint gum, but I don't like candy canes or peppermint hard candy. I thought the question referred to those red and white peppermints. That's why I responded negatively.

Dude thanks for responding' I can relate totally with you on the peppermint. Years ago; I got choked on the peppermint disc or button (the flat one), I was alone when it went backwards and lodged in my throat "blocking my airway" was losing ground really fast! I tried giving myself the heimlich maneuver, but wasn't strong enough for the compressions done on myself.
I went to the dining table and used a chair to manipulate it like heimlich maneuver enough to make the candy move from blocking my airway; but it was still stuck to a point; that I couldn't expel it by coughing it out. I took the chance and swallowed the candy disc' it was a process because it took almost an hour for it to get toto my stomach. By the way; I did dial 911 but couldn't talk when it happened. I left the phone off the receiver, they found me; but it was over by the time they arrived I was just finished swallowing the disc. I'll have the dissolving peppermint sugar cane every now and then, but would never ever put diisc or drop candy in my mouth and this happened a long long time ago.

I like thin mints, but I have never liked peppermint. But that doesn't mean others shouldn't.
