But I have an odd issue. Because I cannot get ripe peaches where I live, I tend to prefer canned. Sorry, Georgia people. I live too far away to get good peaches; they are always too under ripe and nasty.
I used to really like them fresh from the market until the quality of them, along with most produce these days, went down hill. Now you can't find decent fresh fruit anymore.
Yes, they pick it when it is green as a gourd. It never will ripen like it is supposed too. I bought a couple of muskmelons last month that took 3 weeks to ripen before I ate them. Bananas and most fruit is the same way. They have programmed the majority of people to eat green fruit and think they like it.
