Only if they aren't always around. I used to live in an area that had a lot of hummingbirds and while it was really nice most of the time it was inevitable I saw many dead hummingbirds as well which was depressing.
I have one humming bird feeder in front of the house and one on the side next to the patio. They are pretty but they do tend to dive bomb you once in awhile.
one year, they got so used to us being around, that my son sat close to feeder, put his finger out and had one come over and perch on his finger. I saw the whole thing and wished it had been me and not him! LOL!!
I love Hummingberds..I keep glass feeders lined up across my deck..They are amazing and beauiful little birds..I find it fascinating that every season they fly thousands of miles and 2/3 is over water..
Yes, I have these weeds, called Rose of Sharon growing in front of my house. I would like to cut them down and get rid of them. The only reason I don't is because Hummingbirds visit them for nectar all the time.
There's one living in the Fred's store in a nearby town. He's really cool. They feed him using one of the hummingbird feeders they sell and he zips around the store all day following customers around.
