ziad, I think you may be one of the cases of someone who hasn't had GOOD cornbread yet. It's one of the true delights, fragrant and fresh from the oven.
OooooooKkkkkkkk, I guess I'll just HAVE to cut you some slack on this...... Desserts first. Look...get this cookbook....and it's sequels. You'll thank me.
Most members of my family like one or two of the homemade recipes they use for cornbread, while I prefer the sweet yellow cornbread from a box of Jiffy Mix. (They always get their feelings hurt when I insist on making my own separate batch from a mix. Oh well!)
My people, American Indians, we love corn. In a way, you could say we invented it.
