i can only drink coffee if I put about 5 or 6 sugars in it, and I think at that point it stops being coffee and becomes dessert!

Most people don't drink coffee for the taste, with the exception of a few high end types. The purpose of coffee is to provide the caffeine that people need to function throughout the day without tiring out. I prefer to get my caffeine other ways.
