It doesn't come up all that much, actually. Family members in the house share everything fairly equally...well, except for my brother. I borrowed a DVD from his collection once, and halfway through it, took an intermission to go the restroom and get a snack. When I got back and tried to put the movie back on, the DVD player was empty. My brother had come into the room while I had done this, to reclaim his DVD! He's always had the mentality of "What's mine is mine!". The problem is, besides that being carried to the Nth degree, he also believes in "What's yours in mine." too.

Depends on who it is. Never my car since my brother borrowed it for an 'hour' and didn't bring it back for two days. Anything I don't care about is open to be borrowed. Any thing I want to keep, No way. I've learned from experience 'family' don't return money because they are 'family' and think they are an exception...Borrow means "give it to me" when it's your kids:)
