Do you laugh at obese people?

The argument goes something like this :
Imagine that a person only eats burgers, but that a burger only contains 5% or less of a vital vitamin or mineral. The individual will crave 20 or more burgers to fill that requirement.
But in serving the need for that one vitamin or mineral the individual has consumed many more times the amount of sugars and fat that they need - which is stored.
This theory has sprung out of hospital data where a considerable number of obese people admitted to hospital for other reasons, were found to need vitamin drips or supplements...
If a better argument in having a very varied diet existed, I have yet to find it....
