Gosh, I am so amused by the Leaderboard on the daily..I just love the quality of questions!! It seems we have some real geniuses on here?? I got several friends on here that are not Gurus and they would put these Eiensteins to shame!! Oh, yes quanity over quality, fluff over substance and they get points? Do you have to be intelligent to be a Sodahead Guru?

    Here's my own thoughts ..

    TIME to stop complaining about the Leaderboard ..
    stop making generalities too ..
    there's folks out here ..
    who come here for relaxation .. to wind down after very long days ..
    have a bit of fun ..
    post thoughtfully ..
    and do provide quality ..

    ME ..
    I could Care less about Leaderboard ..
    when I POST here .. it is with the intent of sharing thoughts ..
    letting curiosity roam ..
    and yes, polls that are designed for thoughtful consideration ..
    opinions ..
    everyone has one ..

    but NOT everyone goes to put out generalities, labels, nor do they go about gathering solely artificial validation through points ..

    I think you have to enjoy writing and discussing issues. You don't have to be super intelligent but you do have to have some brains to be able to deal with people and discuss different things. I think if you are really good you make guru very fast because you attract a lot of discussion. If you aren't good at this, you may still be smart, but it will take longer is all.

    No, you only need to find thousands of the dumbest questions imaginable and you can be a Guru overnight......if you spam them, all at the same time and hey, guess what? You don't even need anybody to answer them nor do you even need to be a member on soda head..

    firstly becoming a guru does not have anything to do with how intelligent he/she is, just asking lots of questions and getting raves and answering questions or just sitting on soda for a looooooooooooooong time.....this continual nonsense regarding the leaderboard is really getting a bit boring now, for me reaching guru, i don't think i ever got higher than 300....now what was the question

    Certainly not trying to ruffle any 'Guru's' feathers here.I am sure that many of you are very learned and intelligent, indeed! However, it's really more about perseverance and the 'determination' to become a 'Guru' rather than I.Q. surely??
    Of course, if EVER I was to reach THAT exalted station I would repudiate that scandalous statement vigorously!! LOL!!

    Why are we still getting questions about the Leaderboard and the levels. Who cares about any of it. Only those still concerned about it are the ones asking questions about it. Give it a break, move on! No big deal.

    You can tell how some people get there by the quality of their never-ending questions. It takes intensity and perseverance and time. Obviously I have none of those since I have been a member since 2007 and have got a long way to go. Don't know how long my mind will hold on.
