Do You Have Stage Fright??...

I get a bit nervous on stage, but I'm not terrified of it.

I can speak pubically like a pro...I don't get nervous...really at all. But when it comes to acting, playing piano, or singing...hell yes.

DEPENDS ON THE GROUP AND THE SUBJECT...

I have forgotten my own name in the past. I tried Toastmasters but i cried when it was my turn. I was so embarrased that i never went back.

Even in a friendly environment. I definitely need help with "public" speaking, though it is improving.

of course I do that's why I don't do stages!!

I used to be very shy and the thought of being in front of a crowd to speak was enough to rattle me. However, many years ago my brother was hit by a guy who was smoking dope and drinking all day with his van. My brother laid in the hospital for eight months and died at the ripe, old age of 21 years old. I became a charter member of MADD in the county I lived in and became their public speaker. I went to many, many high schools, probation departments and other meetings. I am proud to say every time I spoke to a crowd, it was from the heart. At the end of my presentation, I would tell the audience after showing a picture of my brother in a tux at my sister's wedding, "The only reason I am doing this is so you don't have to feel like me." I can only hope some of the people took my advice and refused to drive drunk and saved innocent lives as a result.

Yes!!!!!! Even a small presentation in class I also feel nervous!
But it is so amazing that I can present confidently as I didn't feel nervous or fightened!
It is what my friends told me lol~

It is normal, but truly there is nothing more exhilerating than being on stage and owning your part! Was always in drama classes, dabbled in little theater and given speeches at Toastmasters. Love it!

I'm deathly afraid of public speaking. Everytime I had to do a presentation in high school and college I would just take the zero.

It's more of a mixture of the two. The first two minutes before I go on, I'm scared out of my mind. But as soon as I'm on the stage, I'm completely relaxed. I'm mostly an improvisational actess so that works out in my favor. But one time, while singing and performing on stage, I did forget the lyrics. But I learned from that experience.

Major stage fright, I mean I could dance on stage, but acting or singing I just.............. *pale white*.......... RUNS AWAY!!!

I just finished with my freshman year, so I've only been in two of my high school's plays, and therefore didn't have very big roles. But I didn't have stage fright during either of them. :D

I did, big time, once.
---but then I had an acting teacher who would shred anything anyone did, to peices, so I decided to do the best I could and just enjoy myself and if someone had something constructive to say, I would listen, other than that, they could lump it!

I have been naked on stage, you always have a good time, unless you are afraid or a dick.

By the way, for your first time on stage, try wearing a Morphsuit, in front of people it is your shield, I have helped many people make there first appearance, sometimes a morphsuit was the only way to get them past that first stage.

There are ways of conquering stage fright, try going on stage in a "Morphsuit", you feel exposed but comfortable as no one can recognize you, this feeling will soon become a part of you.

Or you could try embracing your fear of the stage, but sometimes this has negative effects (when booed off, you may become scarred) but the most important thing is that you have confidence in yourself.

I have brought many people on to stage for the first time, I know what I am talking about.

my mom told me "picture everyone is naked" im like UM NO WAY and i just started to sing and they liked me at first i was a no body well...

It depends on what you mean by stagefright. If you mean going out and freezing up, no. If you mean jitters, butterflies, wanting to throw up, then yes. Most performers have this to some extent. Several famous actors were so wound up they regularly threw up just before going on. Yet they still performed well.
