What is your definition of a friend? I have more internet associations, but that doesn't make them friends. It's not as if I'd confide in them, as I would a friend. So, according to my definition of a friend, my answer is "no."

Depends on how you define the term. To me only my personal friends are actual friends. I can be friendly with others, online, and they may indeed be more numerous, but I don't know them like I do people I consider my friends.

Defintely.

I have never made a real friend outside of universities to which I no longer can go because of my bad behaviour. However, on the Internet it is much easier for me to find people with similar interests. However, my Internet friendships never last nearly as long as I would wish them to.

Depends on how you define friends. Do you count people you've actually seen and can trust or do you call them friends just because they wanted on your friends list and you really know nothing about them? How can you believe everything they tell you about themselves?

Because I can see their facial expressions as they talk. I would know about them in the community and I could tell if they are just telling me what they think I want to hear!

None of my friends are, I tell it like it is and I expect the same from them. If you can't be yourself with a person, you're not a friend as they don't know who you really are!

I don't get out and about like I used to. When I was driving I had several friends that worked for the same company. After I left the company changed the route & most of my friends moved on.
