With a answering system so I don't have to be bothered by phone calls. I rarely take a phone anywhere. I hate mass communication and value my privacy and quiet.

Our cell provider's service isn't that great here at the house. Besides, I think it's smart, and safer, to keep a landline.

My broadband Internet is delivered through the telephone line and calls are cheaper using the land line. The sound quality is also far better on a land line.

Two in fact... (plus 4 cell phones - one for each family member). One line's for voice, the other is for fax, DSL and alarm.
