That is my favorite combo also ! As far as the Reubens go, I was at a GFS store a couple of weeks ago and noticed that they had corned beef rounds there ! Much better for sandwiches than a brisket !

If it's either or then I have to go with the soup. My favorite is the onion cheese as a start to a beef topped entre.
My combonation lunch bunch stuff is Tommato and a quick Tuna Miricle whip, Chopped boiled egs, and layer of onios all mixed to gether.

A nice, big meatball sub, loaded with marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese melted across the meatballs. Mmm...

And a thick, meaty beef stew with plenty of green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, beans, celery, and carrots. Oh, yes. Now THAT'S a soup!

But only one or the other; if I ate both in one sitting I'd get a heart attack. ;)

My favorite soup would be chicken noodle.
Favorite sandwich the Reuben also. Not necessarily together though.

Turkey and swiss is my favorite sandwich, and I'd have to say that I like good ol' potato soup. The McAlister's Deli here makes the BEST potato soup.

Food is one of my favorite topics. There isn't much I don't like or won't eat. If I had to pick one sandwich it would be a tie between a Philly cheese steak or the classic BLT. I love both equally. There are many other sandwiches I like. As far as soups go I would choose white chicken chili. If chili is not considered soup then I would go with vegetable beef soup.

No, I could never really get into that combo. I like a good grilled burger and coffee. I like Manhattan Clam Chowder and turkey club (no mayo), but not a usual order.

Reubens are my personal favorite. I usually order that when I go to a new place to eat. First off, it's fairly simple to make, so if they can't do THAT right, then the rest of their menu probably sucks, too.

LOL as a kid I hated those sandwiches .... We were poor and a lot of the time we didnt get breakfast..... So you learn to like some things... Egg sandwiches only taste good to me with tomato soup.lol I think because I drowned my sandwich in tomato soup because I was so hungry.... and I would get a second desert

My mother canned as well She worked full time and took care of her mother and her crippled sister and brother. There was not much time for baking at home. Good ole dad worked all week and drank it up on the weekend.lol We didnt take hand outs Mom had far to much pride for that. I am glad she did she instilled Values in me and I handed them on to my kids. Some good can always come from the bad.

I came from a big family too! We all survived with out welfare....

That would be because our parents had good work ethics and they had pride and values. They grew up in the era where you didnt work you didnt eat..... To many people started getting hand outs and with those hand outs they lost their sense of pride and got lazy now two or three generations later and they are still sucking the system... You know it will have to collapse after a while it isnt sustainable.
