I'm bipolar. before it was diagnosed and managed properly I would get out of control. I have insulted, offended, disturbed, embarrassed and scared everyone I know. they've all quietly distanced themselves from me. justifiably. my bad reputation is recognised throughout my entire sphere of influence.

I have a bad reputation almost everywhere I go. I tend to speak my mind unconsciously and reap the rewards (or punishment later). Call it lack of subtleness but honesty has killed me in the past. Sometimes I wish I could just keep my big mouth shut...

I used to call these people my parents, my sister and a few friends who bought into a ton of lies. Everyone else knows me as friendly, always willing to help, have a great sense of humor, a hard worker and a guy with character and integrity. Go figure.

My family is fed up with my 'personality', it seems my friends and strangers are mor acceptiing of me than my own family :-( It hurts me really bad:-(

I have often said, "It is kind of scary when you look at your family and wonder 'Am I the only sane one here?'" You wouldn't believe how rotten I am while everyone else regards me as a gentleman who would do anything for anyone. Did it bother me? You bet it did because what was passed around as the gospel truth doesn't sound like me at all.

Where this all started was my mother couldn't manipulate me any more with guilt trips, threats and trying to buy me off. Would you believe less than a month after I married my wife she offered me $20,000 in cash to divorce her? When I told her what she could do with her money it all hit the fan. Nothing was too low and nothing was so rediculous for others to believe. I didn't speak to my mother for seven years and finally did the day before she died. I told her we could rehash everything, but at that point it didn't matter any more. I suggested we start over and she agreed. The trouble is she never got the chance to clear the air with all the lies she told people. After Mom died, they still carried the torch for her. I suppose to have my own life and make up my own mind, it is a price I willfully paid. You would think you deserve better from your own family, but as you can see it is not always the case. People can be rotten to the core.

    Keep...

Keep the faith and know you are doing the right thing. If you keep your character and integrity high, you can have no regrets because the situation is not of your doing. There are some people in this world you're much better off not being around to drag you down. I am sure there are many people who think you're a wonderful person and love you to no end. They are the ones who will help you maintain your smile and the ability to hold your head high. ***HUGS***

As I said, having your own mind and living your own life sometimes comes at a price. As long as they try to push their agenda on you which you know is wrong, they are setting the price higher and higher. You need the stress and hostility as much as the Titanic needed more water. Try distance at first; if they don't get the message, then you just may have to cut all ties. I am very confident you're a lot like me - I never wanted any hostility, but they continued as if I was the devil himself. Oh, another thing, what will really get the people who are against you ticked off are your success and your happiness - without them. It is at this point the lies will flow like a river - at least it did in my case.

To the one that really gets you POed, you can tell this person, "You know, as I slide down the banister of life I will consider you as another sliver in my ass." LOL! It kind of lets them know what you really think of them.

To put a smile on your face, think of the saying, "Even the most wretched person is not completely useless - they can always serve as a bad example."

Another smile... I'll tell anyone I am millions of times more humble than the average person. :) Having said that, last week I went to a convenience store where the owner was on his knees re-stocking the candy shelf. I moseyed right up to him and said, "Jeff, your prayers have been answered! I'm here!" He just busted out laughing.

A smile will always improve your face value!

Curiosity is getting to me - how come you don't have any photos of yourself and only those of Michael Jackson?

I don't like posting photos of myself online, ESPECIALLY ON FB, but I deactivated my FB account due to some personal dilemmas I was having.

    Thanks for the advice :-)

You deactivated your FB account because you were addicted to Farmville? LOL! I never played those games, but my wife has. One day I had a buddy of mine give me a hard time because he sent me a request in Farmville and I didn't respond. I told him, "I don't play those games and I'm surprised you do!"

One thing that made me wonder about some people is they actually put their address, phone number and other information on Facebook. Then these brilliant specimens of humanity will post, "I am going on vacation for the next two weeks." Gee, if that isn't an invitation to every felon with a computer to rob their house, I don't know what is! There's never a shortage of idiots, is there?

Have an awesome day and be sure to wear a big smile - it will ruin some SOB's day!
