Quite frankly ..
I've taken suggestions on my projects .. my work ..
I also have gone through the Juried Critique Processes with my Artworks too
(always interesting indeed .. Especially when the Artists on the Jury Panel are finally confronted with my Blindness face to face .. OH, my .. I've enjoyed the reactions then!)

NOW with that said ..
there's gentle reminders ..
(which are a good thing overall .. a bit of pssst .. how about this?)
but ..
when one is over the top RUDE, NASTY, vile in their 'critiques' ..
that is NOT 'critique' .. that is just being CRUEL and Mean ..

No I correct people all the time especially with spelling or when they say a sentence but pronounced the word wrong example " I writ that" when It should be "I wrote that". I love English!

Yes

It really depends on the situation but the only things recently that I have been corrected on are my grammar by my son and like I tell him you know what I meant.
It just gets on my nerves because I am at home and should be able to talk or act however I please.

actually, depends on the situation, if both of your anwers were correct and the other person instinst on mine being wrong I'd be pissed off but if they talk with reasioning, I'll be always there to correct myself and hear 'em out :D

All depend of kind a person try to correct me; some of them do not have any knowledge to correct somebody, and if acting brutal than depend of the time I’m with moods

Correcting is fine it's usually an exchange of information but if they become nasty or insulting in anyway it just falls on deaf ears.

Unfortunately they will keep judging throughout life until someone tells them to look in the mirror. There's a saying my mom always said to me to help me through rough times - "Those in glass houses should not throw stones." Use it wisely and think before you give those people the satisfaction of a reply.

I agree but to a point. No matter how old you are, always look to the elders for guidance. I know when I'm 60, I'll be looking for someone 80 to advise me on how to get out of a jam. Don't mistake being handed the road map for arrogance.
